1. Domaine des Ormes ****

Set within the stunning grounds of a large Chateau, only 35 kms from St Malo and 15kms from the nearest beach, Domaine des Ormes is not far from Mont St Michel. Dol de Bretagne has a large market on Saturdays and is a quaint, traditional town with many quality restaurants. The site has every amenity imaginable to make a fantastic family holiday. There is a magnificent pool complex with slides, waterfalls and lakes, a choice of bars and restaurants serving excellent food and evening entertainment and dancing.

An immensely popular site with Channel Islanders, set in a tranquil and scenic country location on the banks of the River Rance, close to the stunning medieval town of Dinan. There are plenty of activities for all ages which include, heated swimming pool, tennis, children's playground and mini-golf. Facilities include, restaurant, bar, mini-market and launderette.

3. La Ville Huchet ***

Only 5 kilometers away from your port of arrival, on the outskirts of St. Malo, La Ville Huchet is the perfect base to explore all the best of the area whether this be St. Malo, Dinard, Dinan or a day out to Mont St Michel. It is close to the beaches of St Malo and Dinard and the scenic River Rance. The recently built, modern site is set around the beautifully landscaped grounds of La Ville Huchet manor house.
There is an aqua park, playground, football and other entertainment to keep the children occupied. A pizzeria is onsite and fresh croissants and bread are available in the mornings. There is also golf, canoeing, water sports, karting and a large hypermarket close by.

4. LE P'TIT BOIS ****

Close to Saint Malo and the shopping complex at St Jouan des Guerets, the site is well situated for walks and visits to towns such as the picturesque Saint Sulliac with opportunities for walks along the edge of the River Rance. The site is well kept and very child and family friendly. The Grand Aquarium is just up the road and this is absorbing entertainment for both children and adults.

5. Les Mouettes ****

Approximately 2 hours drive from St Malo.
Les Mouettes is one of the most popular campsites in Brittany. Situated on the Carantec peninsula between pine forest and the beaches. Lovely private pitches and plenty of activities such as tennis, archery, children’s playground, snooker and one of the best aquatic centres in the area with Jacuzzi and sauna. Not far from the site, there is also scuba diving, fishing and other sea sports. The on-site facilities include bar, restaurant, launderette and mini-market.

6 Le Vieux Moulin ****

The site is most well situated within a short distance of seven sandy beaches. The town of Erquy is a picturesque fishing port with a large number of restaurants situated on the port area ranging from créperies to seafood restaurants and the more sophisticated. The beaches in the area are delightful and nearby Sables d'Or lives up to its name. The picturesque Fort de Latte is close as is Cap Fréhel with it views of the coast, famous throughout France. The site has superb facilities which include a tropical swimming pool.

7. LE RANOLIEN ****
PERROS GUIREC

Found on the Côte de Granit Rose which means Pink Granite Coast, Le Ranolien was constructed in 2000 but includes at its heart traditional granite buildings. The site faces the sea and a view of an archipelago of seven islands which can be visited by boat. Perros Guirec is a beautiful and particularly family friendly town and has gained the "Station Kid" award in France for its range of child friendly activities.

8. CHATEAU LEZ EAUX ****

Situated between Mont St Michel and Grainville, Chateau les Eaux is a site set in the grounds of the beautiful chateau. The area has much to offer and is Normandy countryside but close to amenities and also Brittany so the choice of excursions out whether for sightseeing or shopping is extensive.

9. ANSE DU BRICK ****

Within easy reach of the beach and forest the site is on the Contentin Peninsula of Normandy. Anse du Brick is situated on a terraced hillside which descends to a secluded, sandy beach and possesses magnificent views of the coast. Woodland walks are close by and the Normandy Landing Beaches are just 30 minutes away. The town of Cherbourg and the famous Mont St Michel are also very close.

10. PARC DES ALICOURTS ****

This site is in a particularly beautiful setting with woodlands and a lake which has sandy beaches, perfect for sunbathers or those wanting to sit under umbrellas at the tables provided or if more energetic swimming, canooing or using the pedal boats. Apart from the lake there is an Aquapark with four pools with waves, two of which are heated, water slides and a spa. The villages nearby include Souvigny, Le Ferte, St Aubin, Aubigny and Nancy and are famous for their painters and antique dealers. The Loire chateaux of Chenenceaux, Cherverny, Chambord and Blois are close by.

In the heart of the Loire Valley in the Touraine area which Honoré de Balzac described as a piece of paradise fallen from the heavens, the "Parc de Fierbois" is set in a vast, forested estate bordering a lake. The whole area abounds with lakes, forests and chateaux. It was described as the "Garden of France" and there are beautiful gardens to visit which surround the many chateaux. The activities for children are plentiful on this family friendly site.

12. LA GRANDE METAIRIE ****

This glamorous campsite is found close to the famous standing stones of Carnac in the Morbihan area of Brittany which is particularly famous for its coast and wonderful sandy beaches. There is entertainment ranging from sporting activities and children's shows and Fancy Dress parties to displays by Breton Dancers in traditional costumes. Travel around the picturesque site and area on a little train if you wish. The island of Quiberon is close by.

On the Côte Sauvage, close to the picturesque fishing port of La Trinite sur Mer, and only 2 kilometres from the marina area, this site abounds with activities and possesses an excellent aquapark area. The Gulf of Morbihan and the Quiberon Peninsula is a particularly beautiful coastal area with plenty of opportunity for walks and also shopping in the many picturesque towns of the area. In the coastal area which faces the Ile de Raguenes, Le Raguenes Plage lives up to its name as there is direct access to the long, sandy stretch of beach area. The Pont Aven area has for countless years attracted painters who were drawn to its particularly clear and beautiful quality of light. The Ile de Raguenes is described as particularly enchanting for children.

This popular site is only a short walk from the bustling resort of Benodet. The pitches are in a lovely woodland setting and the site has a friendly atmosphere and there are plenty of activities going on to keep everyone occupied. There is an excellent pool complex with chutes and slides, toddlers pool, children’s playground, gym, tennis, basket ball and pony riding. Facilities include, bar, restaurant, takeaway, shop and launderette. Close by you will find, horse riding, golf, sea and river fishing, canoe and yacht hire and indoor water complexes.

6. POINTE ST GILLES ****

Direct access to the beach.
The coastal area which adjoins the sites possesses fine sandy beaches and to one of which there is direct access from the site. The beach is perfect for sunbathing, swimming or windsurfing. The campsite surrounds are picturesque and it is possible to take a cruise to the Glenan Islands or up the river Odet towards Quimper . Water games are organised in the fabulous aquatic park and there is a variety of evening entertainment including disco, karaoke, shows and children's shows and competitions.

17. L'ORANGERIE ****
QUIMPER (Lannniron)

A part of the 15th century chateau which is still the home of the Comte and Comtesse de Massol de Rebetz, this first class site abounds with facilities and combines its tradition with exciting activities and luxurious accommodation. The ‘Orangerie’ has been converted into a restaurant and the bar was originally a stable building. There are guided tours of the chateau. The site has a lake which is perfect for fishing and even sunbathing - temperatures are in the seventies in the summer months. Visit the nearby town of Quimper which is famous for its pottery or enjoy the beaches near Benodet, Concarneau and Beg-Meil

Neighbouring a nature reserve, the site has direct access to a beach ideal for sunbathing, swimming and surfing. The pool area has an eighty metre waterslide. Visit the Glénan Islands, Port la Forêt famous for sail boat races, the twelfth century walled city of Concarneau, the fishing harbours of Sainte Marine, Loctudy, Le Guilvinec, Pont l'Abbé, Penmarc'h (Eckmul lighthouse), la Pointe du Raz which is the French equivalent of Lands End and Brest where the Océanopolis Aquarium is found.

In a wooded park filled with flowers, Clarys Plage offers a variety of activities, entertainment and fun. The area that surrounds the site has its attractions too. It is possible to visit the Ile de Yeu and the celebrated Puy de Fou. There is of course the beautiful sandy beach and the site's own aquapark.

Close by there is golf, canoe/kayak and a choice of water sports. The site has a bar and restaurant and evening entertainment in high season. On-site facilities include launderette and grocery shop.

On the shores of the huge 1,200 hectare Pareloup lake, set in the Averyon countryside which is at an altitude of over 800 m, the air is particularly pure. The lake is safe for swimming and other water activities plus fishing. St Jean de Monts possesses a Station Kid Award, which is not acquired easily, for its child friendliness and range of children's activities. Nine of the 146 villages which are listed as particularly beautiful villages of France are to be found in the Averyon area. Party by moonlight as the evening activities are extensive.

Forget your car at Sol a Gogo because they say everything is there. There is direct access to a super, sandy beach, tranquillity is as possible as is partaking in the fun entertainment that abounds. If you are tempted to travel out of the campsite you will be able to discover all that makes the Vendée so wonderful.
