Brittany
Brittany - one of the easiest destinations to reach from the Channel Islands - is a unique area where the Breton and Gallic cultures have influenced the development of the region. Sandy beaches stretch around its coast which is bordered by the English Channel to the North and the Atlantic to the west. The more inland areas are broken up by rivers such as the Rance and Villaine. Further into Brittany, the Breton language is still spoken and the road and town names are displayed in both languages. Saint Malo
Founded in the 6th century by the Welsh monk MacLow, St Malo is now a worldwide known destination. St Malo has lots to offer: a rich & unique maritime history, it is situated on the scenic Emerald coast and has very excellent restaurants with sea food specialties. There is a wide array of activities in St. Malo or nearby to suit all tastes.

Only a ten minutes drive from St. Malo across the barrage de la Rance, Dinard is an elegant seaside resort full of character and with superb views of St. Malo from across the bay.
There are lots of restaurants, creperies and friendly cafes to choose from and some excellent shops.
In the evening you can relax and unwind in one of the prom cafes or the Casino, or why not treat yourself to a gourmet Dinner cruise on the Rance.Market days - Thursday & Saturday mornings.

Dinan
A magnificent medieval town, Dinan is truly the most picturesque destination. Steeped in history and tradition, the old town is completely medieval with beautiful 14th century buildings, encircled by ancient ramparts. Take a stroll down the rue de Jerzual which leads down from the old town to the port on the river Rance.
An abundance of restaurants, cafes, shops, museums to visit and lots of local arts and crafts.

Rennes
The capital of Brittany and bustling university city. A shoppers paradise, the centre of Rennes offers all the big designer names. There are also some enormous hyper-markets on the outskirts of the city. Art galleries, museums, theatres and some fantastic night life. Lots of the bars and cafes around the place St. Anne have live bands playing and are open till the small hours.
Activities in and around Rennes include Karting, Golf, Ice skating and paint-balling.Market day - Saturday morning
